Uxbridge Loiterers

Who we are

Group Photo Mar 2015

Uxbridge Loiterers is one of the larger cycling clubs in West London. We organise sociable rides every Wednesday & Sunday starting at 10.00 am from the Market Square in front of Uxbridge underground station. We also organise car/ train assisted rides, off-road rides and trips away, slide show evenings and an annual holiday.

Most rides stop for elevenses, lunch and afternoon tea (in summer). Stops are normally at cafes, pubs, garden centres etc.. members are welcome to bring sandwiches. Most cyclists complete the whole ride, returning to Uxbridge about 4pm during the winter months and 5pm in the summer months, although members are welcome to join or leave the ride at any time to suit their individual needs.

Rides are categorised as: Short - limited to a maximum of 25 miles, Medium - between 25 and 35 miles, and Long - over 35 miles.
The Medium & Long rides do not necessarily cycle faster, they just tend to take shorter stops.

Our club ethos is to cycle at the pace of the slower rider, so everyone is able to enjoy the ride.
All rides have a "Back Marker" so that no-one gets lost and there is always assistance with punctures, etc.

If you'd like to join us for a ride simply turn up at the listed start or contact us using the details below: -
